Providing a suitable gazebo base.

Before we arrive to assemble your gazebo, you are responsible for providing a suitable gazebo base.

We need to assemble your gazebo on a flat and level base. Suitable bases include timber decking, flagged or paved patios and concreted areas. In some circumstances we can assemble onto a flat grass or gravel area too.

If you are unsure if your area is suitable, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Will I Need Planning Permission?

Will you need planning permission for your Four Seasons Garden Gazebo?

The requirements for planning permission for general garden Gazebo's suggests that all our gazebos and structures would normally fall within Class E, Part 1, Schedule 2 of the planning regulations. This states that planning permission should not be required.

Generally the Gazebo is classed as a 'Portable Building', however it is your responsibility to check with your local planning office. Notable exceptions to the above are listed buildings and conservation areas. It may be that you need to position the building a certain distance from the house, or boundaries, but each area is different, so we're afraid we cannot offer accurate information.

Other general guidelines are that it must not take up more than ½ your garden, it must be behind the building line, it should be 1 metre away from the boundary (although most buildings tend to be nearer than this), it should be less than 4 metres high (if it is an apex gazebo) and should be 50 ft away from the nearest road.

Contact your local council and ask to speak to a 'planning officer' to get the exact advice if your not sure.
